Frequntly Asked Questions
I do not accept insurance directly. I am considered an Out-of-Network provider. I can provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please consult with your insurance provider to learn more about your "Out-of-Network" benefit policies.
Everyone has a different insurance plan and benefits. Please reach out to your insurance provider to ask questions about the details of your plan.
If you are eligible for Out-of-Network benefits, we provide you with a Superbill that you provide to your insurance company. The insurance company will then reimburse you directly.
Here are some questions to help get you started -
- Do I have Out-of-Network coverage for Mental Health (or Behavioral Health)?
- If yes, do I have coverage for the CPT Code 90834 or CPT Code 90837 (Individual Therapy)?
- If you are a New York client ask, do you cover the LCAT license (Licensed Creative Arts Therapist)?
- If you are a Pennsylvania client ask, do you cover the LPC license (Licensed Professional Counselor)?
- If you are a New Jersey client ask, do you cover the LPAT license (Licensed Professional Art Therapist)?
- What is my deductible and how much has already been met?
- What is my out of pocket payment before my deductible is met?
- What percentage of the fee for each visit will be covered?
- How many mental health sessions per calendar year does my insurance plan cover?
- How do I obtain reimbursement for therapy with an out-of-network provider?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
** A note about insurance:
- If a claim is denied, you still owe the full fee for each session you attended and will not be reimbursed.
- If you cancel in under 24 hours or miss an appointment without adhering to the cancellation policy, you still owe the full fee for the session and it will not be put on your Superbill since insurance does not pay for missed sessions.
- When using insurance, they have a right to ask for proof of progress and audit records any time they would like. They can decline to pay for continued care and make other such decisions anytime. Just be aware of the limitations when using insurance.
Please reach out to Andrea with any questions.
Both! We are offering in-person sessions in New Jersey. In addition to virtual Tele-health in NJ, PA, & NY.
Some people feel that virtual provides the flexibility and ease they need. While some people feel in-person can provide separation from their day-to-day life. Both are valid. If you are not local to South Jersey we will use a HIPAA compliant platform to meet virtually.

If you're not interested in art-making, I also have plenty of experience in talk therapy and I’ll take your lead when it comes to using art (or not using art) in session. I may just offer a creative directive at times if you're up for it!
I believe art therapy is for everyone no matter their artistic abilities! Art therapy can be a vessel to explore various themes and topics you want to address. Art therapy is both about the process of art-making and the product of what you are expressing.
Please note, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy.
The length of therapy is up to the individual and their needs. Some people may be in therapy for a short period of time for about three to six months, while others may continue for years, or take breaks in between. This will depend on what you are coming to therapy for and hoping to get out of therapy.
I recommend clients be seen weekly at first and move to bi-weekly if clinically appropriate. We can work together to discuss what’s best for you.
I accept all major credit cards and FSA/HSA funds.
